Welcome to T4S Works! We are a Georgia-based non-profit organization dedicated to creating a positive impact on both the environment and the lives of individuals in need of a fresh start. Founded in 2022 in Augusta, GA, T4S Works! emerged as the nonprofit arm of Tech 4 Success, with a dual mission: promoting environmental sustainability through electronics recycling and providing job skill training and workforce development for individuals with disabilities, returning citizens, and veterans.
Our Mission
T4S Works! is an organization with a focus on workforce development in the field of information technology using electronics recycling as a catalyst for change. The organization has a two-prong mission focus: environmental sustainability through the diversion of electronic waste from landfills and job skill training and workforce development for individuals with disabilities, returning citizens, and veterans. T4S Works! will provide numerous programs that individuals can progress through over the course of two years. The goal of each program is to ensure that individuals gain the knowledge, skills, abilities, and confidence needed to gain and maintain full time employment.
Our Vision
At T4S Works!, we believe in creating a sustainable future for both the planet and its people. We focus on nurturing the potential of those with disabilities, the formerly incarcerated, and veterans, providing them with the support services and opportunities they need to succeed in the information technology industry. By using electronics recycling as a training ground, we help our program participants overcome fears and stigmas associated with reentry, disability, and life after service. Our vision is to cultivate a world where everyone has equal opportunities to contribute to society and live fulfilling lives.
Our Programs
Our organization offers a variety of programs designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and confidence needed to gain and maintain full-time employment in the IT sector. With a two-year progression plan, our programs aim to provide a solid foundation and continuous growth opportunities for all participants. Some of our programs include:
Basic Electronics Recycling Training: An introductory course that teaches the fundamentals of electronics recycling, including the proper handling and disposal of e-waste, as well as the importance of data security and privacy.
IT Skills Development: A comprehensive curriculum that covers essential IT skills such as computer hardware and software troubleshooting, networking, and cybersecurity, preparing participants for a range of IT roles.
Soft Skills Training: A series of workshops focusing on communication, teamwork, time management, and other essential interpersonal skills that help participants excel in the workplace.
Job Placement Assistance: A dedicated team of career advisors who work closely with participants to identify suitable employment opportunities and provide ongoing support throughout their job search.
Support Services: A range of additional services, such as mental health counseling, financial literacy education, and access to community resources, designed to address the unique needs and challenges faced by our program participants.
